In Malaysia, Transparent Trade Routes focuses on strengthening integrity practices across trade and logistics activities by supporting companies to translate anticorruption commitments into everyday business decisions.

While the regulatory framework in Malaysia provides a basis for integrity, companies, particularly SMEs, often face practical challenges in applying requirements consistently and in navigating corruption risks linked to interactions with public authorities and service providers. Many businesses also operate in fragmented environments, limiting opportunities for peer learning and coordinated responses.

The project addresses these challenges by promoting Collective Action and expanding access to integrity and antibribery training adapted to the local context. Through capacitybuilding and dialogue, Transparent Trade Routes supports companies in understanding corruption risks, building confidence to report concerns, and engaging constructively with government stakeholders.

Activities in Malaysia aim to foster collaboration, encourage responsible business conduct and support efforts to translate laws and policies into practical industry practices. By focusing on learning and application rather than metrics, the project contributes to sustainable improvements in how integrity is managed across traderelated operations.
